Johnny Alloo

Set inside an iconic building, originally built in the 1870s, is Johnny Alloo’s. Named after Ballarat’s first restaurateur “Johnny Alloo”, with the ethos to bring joy to good food and drink just like Johnny did. Inside the interior features exposed solid brickwork with a contemporary take on Art Deco. Owner Matthew Freeman and Chef Andy Gale (formerly of St Ali and Duchess of Spotwood) have brought together a beautiful venue and menu that focuses on its relationships, not only with its customers but with producers of the region.
